Standardisation of Good and Bad

What makes us take a decision about good or bad? Means, what are the actual criterion which let us know that something or someone is good or bad?  For example, we consider telling lie a bad thing and speaking truth a good thing, stealing a bad deed and charity a good one. How have we decided all these?

We learn the lesson of good or bad in the very first stage of life by the people around us when we are like wet clay. Because I think that the first things which a child learns about this world are good and bad and then differentiating between them. If they somehow learn that stealing is good deed and charity is bad then that will only reside in their mind. Thus, the fact is that all of us need a standard, standards like that of standard weights and measures, Greenwich mean time, and thus the standard of good and bad. What is good for me may be bad for you because of the opposite nature of our standards. These standards may be our parents, our relatives, out religion, our believes, any book or any other thing or person of such kind.

Everything in this universe are relative things. Like I am at rest with respect to my table, and in motion with respect to the sun. So I can say that telling lie is bad with respect to my standard and ... and I cannot continue because you only know what is good and what is bad with respect to your standard.

What makes us take a decision about good or bad? Means, what are the actual criterion which let us know that something or someone...
